Meet AX12 - Magnetic Adhesion Base Watercolor Palette made from plant-based biopolymer. And now upgraded with a GLAZED CERAMIC mixing tray sealed with resin - smooth, bead-resistant, and easy to wipe clean.
We poured countless hours (and lots - and we meant lots - of coffee) into perfecting its design, ensuring every feature serves a purpose. The result? A compact, beautiful and functional magnetic watercolor palette . At just ~7.76 × 3.82 × 0.83 in (19.8 x 9.7 x 2.1cm) — yet holds a full color library.
The AX12 holds 50 Magnetic Half pans - neatly, securely. But rules? Those are optional.
With a flat magnetic base, this palette gives you complete freedom to customize the layout the way you want. Need 20 Full pans? Go for it. Want to mix in a Sponge or a Brush or a few Kuretake Magnetic pans? No problem. The AX12 is designed around your flow, not ours.

We don’t rush our process. Every detail—from the magnetic closure to the smooth finish—is chosen with intention. We doubled the standard printing time to give the palette the premium look and feel we expect from tools that last.
We tested version after version to get the balance just right — lightweight but stable, compact yet expressive. It takes longer, but it’s worth it. Because we believe great tools don’t just function beautifully, but should look beautiful too.
We’re constantly learning and refining—experimenting with new materials, improving our techniques, and most importantly, listening to you. Our goal is simple: to create tools that bring joy, spark creativity, and maybe even put a smile on your face every time you use them.

Overall I would say that this palette is gorgeous feels solid and is very well constructed. It’s so well thought out in terms of design and I really love it.
There are only two things I would note just to be aware of. 1) the ceramic palette doesn’t feel as good as a true ceramic plate or palette does. The paint does still bead for me. Perhaps it’ll improve with more use? The surface also stains and is hard to clean it back to white though I have yet to try toothpaste, but it did stain with rather minimal use (just swatching newly poured colors). 2) the pans they create are wonderful. Just be aware if you already have half pans from other makers or sources, they may not fit as well since there seems to be so much half pan sized variety. It isn’t a criticism just an observation. Overall wonderful tho and I would still buy again!
This palette is pure joy. I fell in love when I saw them online and just had to buy them. The halfpans are high quality and magnetic. Very easy to fill and to rearrange. Love the design. Love the mixing wells.
A great alternative to the ubiquitous black tin boxes!
This is no cheap flimsy plastic, this palette is very solid and high-quality! Some people might call it heavy. There are no sharp edges or corners or rims, everything is very smooth and safe.
Inside, the box is magnetic and holds the pans very well. The outside is not magnetic (for those whose plein air easel relies on magnets). The lid closes very securely with magnets.
The inside mixing trays are also solid (I have the ceramic coating) and stay horizontally (no problems with watery washes, however the wells are not very deep).
I also got several extras: pan samples of different sizes, sponge, magic eraser for cleaning the mixing trays and a brush holder.
